What we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
DASH Accounting Services Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
We are at Suite 11, Calder House, 8 South Caldeen Road, Coatbridge, ML5 4EG. For any question about this notice, or to exercise any of the rights below, email hello@dashaccountingservices.com.
What we collect, and why
Contact form. Your name, email address, company, phone number and your message — so we can answer you, and so we have a record of what was asked. Our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and, where the enquiry becomes an engagement, performance of a contract.
Resource downloads. Your name and email address, plus your company if you give it, so we can send you the file you asked for. If you tick the box to receive updates we also record that consent. Our basis is your consent, and our legitimate interest in knowing who is using our material.
Paid downloads. The same details, plus a record of what you bought and when. Payment is taken on Stripe's own checkout pages — we never see or store your card details. Our basis is performance of a contract, and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.
Newsletter. Your name and email address, on the basis of your consent, until you unsubscribe. Every email carries an unsubscribe link.
Server logs. Your IP address, browser and the pages you requested, kept briefly so we can keep the site available and secure. Our basis is our legitimate interest in the security of the service.
We do not use the website to collect special category data, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers, each of which only ever handles what it needs to do its job, and none of which may use your data for their own purposes:
- Stripe — payment processing for paid downloads
- MailerLite — newsletter delivery
- Resend — transactional email, such as sending you a download link
- Vercel — website hosting
We may also share data with our professional advisers, or where the law requires it. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Where a provider processes data outside the UK or EEA, that transfer is covered by the UK's adequacy regulations or by standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
No longer than we need it. Enquiries are kept while there is a live conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards; records that form part of our accounting records — including purchases — are kept for as long as tax and company law requires; and newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time — that does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
Email hello@dashaccountingservices.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
A single cookie is used to keep our own staff signed in to the site's content management system. It is essential to that function and is not set for ordinary visitors.
If the newsletter signup form is shown, MailerLite may set its own cookies; those are covered by MailerLite's privacy notice rather than this one.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if what we do with personal data changes. This version was published on 27 August 2026.
